Integrative Counselling means as a counsellor I have trained in many types of therapy, such as Cognitive Behaviourial Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic, Humanisitic person centred and EMDR. This means that I can offer a bespoke therapy for each client, as we are individual and have indivdual requirements.
Life can be tough and throw us many challenges. At times those challenges can feel overwhelming and it can be difficult to talk to family and friends about your struggles. Counselling can be one of the ways to help and support you during those moments.
We believe that each client requires an individual and tailored counselling approach. We work in a warm, confidential and non-judgemental manner and by us working together we would like to help you find some understanding and meaning in your life to help you move forward. If you would like to consider counselling please contact me to talk about things further.
Once we really understand what is happening and why, then we can begin to address it. Our work will be centred on you and your personal situation, and can involve looking at issues such as time management, workload and work-life balance, through to learning deep relaxation approaches, positive and effective psychological coping techniques, developing a stress-free mind set and more.
Many issues can be caused through personal, family, relationships, lifestyle or work or environmental issues both past and present, or concerns about the future. There are also times when it is difficult to identify why or where these unhelpful or worrying feelings are coming from.
We think it is important to tailor my approach to the needs of the individual as we do not believe that one approach is appropriate for everyone. We offer a mindfulness program if required and a range of alternative health coaching, we have a holistic approach to health.
We deal with any of the issues including:

Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. With Integrative Counselling we are able to utilize all forms of therapy as and when they are required using CBT, DBT, humanistic, psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, inner child work, experiential person centred and mindfulness.
In therapy the Counsellors role is not about telling you what to do. Only you have the right and power to take ownership of yourself, so the Counsellor is there to encourage objectivity, help you discover your own peace of mind, clarity or acceptance and when needed to support you with helping you find coping mechanisms, solutions and new ways of thinking.
Counselling can be useful to explore both past and present issues and blocks, even if it feels so confusing you are not sure where to start, its ok as you and your Counsellor will work that out together.
Life coaching is centred around helping you to move forward with your life – helping you to identify the goals that are most important for you and crucially, finding the best ways to help you to achieve them as quickly as possible. We work on finding the best ways of reaching these goals, and releasing those inner resources you need using the latest ideas from practical and applied psychology.
Coaching can look at general life challenges, such as undertaking and completing projects or other personal development, or can overlap with career or business psychology and enhance your effectiveness and career success.
We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
